A Study on the Perception of School Members on Mid- and Long-Term Education Agenda at the Local Education Offices: Focused on Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education

ABSTRACT

PURPOSE The purpose of this study is to explore mid- and long-term education agenda at the Busan level, and to examine the perception of school members(teachers and parents) in Busan.CONTENTS The results of searching for mid- and long-term education agenda at the level of Busan. The education agenda proposed 13 proposals in four areas, including securing educational publicity, realizing future schools, preparing for future education, and expanding educational autonomy. For example, resolving overcrowded classes to ensure safe and high-quality learning rights, promotion of the COVID-19 generation education recovery project, and realization of future education through the operation of Busan future school.RESULTS It is the result of recognizing the importance of faculty members and parents on the educational agenda. Both faculty and parents were importantly aware of the proposed educational agenda. Among them, agenda 1. resolving overcrowded classes toensure safe and high-quality learning rights, agenda 2. promotion of the COVID-19 generation education recovery project, agenda 10. in the climate crisis era and the full-scale ecological education to achieve carbon neutrality, and the importance of education agenda related to COVID-19 were relatively high.
