Daesoon Thought on Future Civilization and Religious Education Implications

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the theoretical characteristics of the future civilization view of Daesoon Thought and to examine the religious educational implications contained therein. The founders of Korea's new religion have predicted changes in our society from various perspectives. They announced the opening of a new civilization with New post-cosmic creation, Reordering work to greatly open the three realms of the world, and the Great opening of spirit. The future due to COVID-19 is predicting the arrival of an unprecedented society that mankind has never experienced before. Although the economy and social structure and way of life are completely reorganized, it is clear that under a large-scale disaster, barriers between countries are meaningless, and coexistence and cooperation are key. Some argue that the end of Western civilization and the ideological foundation to solve it are in the East, claiming the modern value of Korean new ideology. This also suggests a moral indicator that Korean new religions can heal any number of evils in modern society if we change the wrong system of consciousness to those of us who are lost in the coordinates of our lives. Therefore, in this study, the future civilization of Daesoon Thought is to be considered as a religious educational value contained in the argument by centered on Human Nobility(人尊) and the civilization of the Dao. This will contribute to various perspectives on understanding the view of future civilization of the new religions in Korea, and it will be an attempt to highlight the characteristics of the view of future civilization of Daesoon Thought as an individual new religion.
