The 7th Curriculum and religious education in Chondogyo

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to investigate religious education in Chondogyo relying on the 7th Curriculum. In case of Chondogyo, The religious order doesn't have his own school but Dongcheon High School is the only school that is managed by the faith of Chondogyo 「Chondogyo」is the only religious text for high school that was published by teacher committee of Chondogyo, but the contents of text is different from the necessary condition of the 7th Curriculum, and so Chondogyo must publish the text not only containting wide and balanced Knowledge of religion, matured faith to overcome the problem of life, comprehension of other religion and desirable attitude of life as a religious man but also informing students of originality and meaning of national religion.Chondogyo has responsibility for spreading the import ant religious thought, respect of man and egalitarianism, by means of publication, cultural and educational activity.Chondogyo needs to develop a various and easy short - term study book for informal educational activity of young boys and girls according to the guideline of the 7th curriculum because of not having formal school.Chondogyo gathers the wisdom to develop the textbook with other religious organism.
