A Study on An Essay on Cultural Educ ation in colleges-in relation to Chondogyo(天道敎)-

ABSTRACT

This write looked for historical reality of cultural education in Chondogyo(天道敎), cultural education curriculum in Busan Arts and Culture College(釜山藝術文化大學), and problems of religious education as culture education in a viewpoint of Chondogyo(天道敎). This essay has limitation because Chondogyo(天道敎) doesn't have its own college.But Self-study college lectures(自修大學講義) of 1930's have a meaning in aspect of the first correspondence course of college education that tries to solve poverty and ignorance by s ocializing `Innaechon(人乃天)' of Ch ondogyo(天道敎). Busan Arts and Culture College(釜山藝術文化大學) is not a foundation of Chondogyo(天道敎), but it is founded on the basis of Chondogyo(天道敎). So this college pursues humanity education through religious education, and it teaches Chondogyo(天道敎) and traditional culture through the idea of Donghak(東學). Furthermore, it is trying to preparing for an alternative to overcome the crisis of modern society.
