An Alternative Education for Daesoon-Jinrihoi

ABSTRACT

It is said that a human can be endlessly changed through education. Especially, the teens who has a great potential to accept anything through the education is an critical phase in human being. From this point, if a human can be grown and changed through education, the education should be a big issue for the growing possibility of human. Thus, it has been a big issue to stop a standardized and distorted education, and to pursue a real education in the field. The first resolution for the statement above is in an alternative education. This paper proposes what an alternative education for Daesoon-Jinrihoi is and what the ideological background of the education is. In addition, the paper suggests some of things related to the establishment of the alternative school as an educational institution. The ideological background of an alternative education for Daesoonjinrihoi is rooted on the ideology like Haewonsangsaeng and Injon. Haewonsangsaeng, as one of idelogical essentials of Dasoonjinrihoi has a symbolic meaning to represent it and also it should be a code of conduct that all of the Daesoonjinrihoi devotee should follow. Haewonsangsaeng makes it possible to establish the better educational surroundings because it influence on the educational notion to resolve the conflicts between students and teachers. In this point, Haewonsangsaeng could be an educational notion to be activated in the field of education. Injon, as a view of the universe means an ideal human to have a leading role in chon, ji and in through the self-perfection. Jeungsan emphasized the proposition to change human’s mind-set with the new view of the universe. Applying the idelogy of Injon on the field of education, the students should not be applied to the subject of the education but they should be respected and have a great attention and love. Therefore, it is possible to think them as an human having a dignity. If the an alternative school based on the ideological background like Haewonsangseng and Injon is established, the school could be an institution which consists of a class having small number of students and has a coaching teacher to activate the ideal educational program.
