Analysis on the Trend of Early Childhood Teacher’s Education in Won-Buddhism and Study on Activation Plan for the Personality Education

ABSTRACT

This study has the gaol to establish the identity of early childhood education at the Wonkwang Academy and to suggest an activation plan of teacher education for guiding personality education through the excellent mind practice by analyzing the education trend of early childhood in Won-Buddhism. As the target of this study, were selected the education textbooks of early childhood teachers in Won-Buddhism and the written sources about the result of evaluation questions concerning education that was performed for ten years. The method of study was to arrange the education for ten years by taking as the bases of study analysis the followings concerning the education of early childhood teachers in Won- Buddhism: the scope of education realization; teaching type; education contents; the situation in education completion and response to the survey; the degree that the education was helpful to the teacher; and satisfaction degree of teachers about education. As a result, a few things were analyzed about the early childhood teacher’s education in Won-Buddhism for recent ten years. First, it was analyzed in the scope of education that the education was necessary to advance appropriately the realization scope of ideology education and personality education, and the realization scope of technical education in tandem. Second, it was analyzed that the practice-centered teaching type that was possible to experience actually was necessary rather than teaching types through lectures on theory. Third, it was analyzed that it was necessary to share the guiding cases of personality education through mind practice that teachers carried out by themselves on the spot, and they were necessary the various technical education contents possible to utilize right away on the site. Thus, this study suggested the following three kinds of plans for the activation of early childhood teacher’s education in Won-Buddhism for the personality education by synthesizing these results. First is the plan to realize daily learning community at each respective regions. Second is the plan to develop the online contents focusing on the guiding cases of early childhood teachers on the spot. Third is the plan to cultivate professionals only in charge of education of early childhood on teachers in Won-Buddhism for through discovering the excellent teachers.
