The Fourth Industrial Revolution and Religious Education of Won-Buddhism

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to discuss the social changes of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and to explore the corresponding tasks of Won Buddhism religious education in preparation for this. We discussed the theme of religious education in response to the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution with the keywords of “Evolution and Great Opening of Matter”, “Human intelligence”, “Relationship of Grace”, “Religious Education for AI(artificial intelligence)”. The age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is the evolution of matter beyond the progress of matter. In order not to become slaves of matter, the importance of Won Buddhist religious education which focus on the faith in a religion based on truth and training in morality based on facts is emphasized. We need more realistic religious education programs to prepare for humanized material, AI. We expect changes in methods and aspects of education targeting AI. We expect to expand the religious education of Won Buddhism through continuous reflection of human spirits.
