ABSTRACT

Since COVID-19, the world has rapidly changed to New Normal world throughout society. As a practical way to reveal individual s potential and promote growth and change beyond various phenomena caused by it, I would like to pay attention to the period role of the coaching field. The purpose of this study is to newly interpret the GROW coaching model from a Buddhist perspective. As to research methods, it first reviewed prior research related to coaching and suggested a Buddhist approach to “balanced life” as an alternative direction to complement the limitations of the existing coaching model. Therefore, the four stages of the GROW coaching model, which is highly utilized in the coaching field, looked at it based on the Four Noble Truths. Finally, I proposed the Buddhist possibility of a coaching model that achieves sustainable growth beyond change. The significance of this study is a small attempt at a convergent approach with Buddhism as a foundation for the development of various coaching models, guessing the prospect of coaching field based on Buddhism.
